Teresa Coates is a Boston-based photographer who approaches fine art portraiture by exploring humanity, using a visual narrative. Her subject matter ranges from rural farm children to rodeo bulls. Her fine art work is consistent with traditional black and white and color photography, using a documentary style.
Teresa has exhibited her work at the Fitchburg Art Museum , the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Stephen F. Austin University, the Catamount Arts, and other galleries. She has received artists grants from the Council for the Arts at MIT, and is a recipient of the Stephen Jareckie Photography Award Fitchburg Art Museum.
